You knol is great: concise, in clear simple language, and as you say, not a good fit for Wikipedia, which is not about "how to". And that might become an interesting line in knols: so far, knols have only been touted as more academically acceptable…

Why are you interested in joining Innovate-Ideagora?
Someone on the WWWEDU mailing list linked to it in a discussion. I am interested in the discussions here - and I like the "A Marketplace for Ideas and Solutions" byline of Innovate-Ideagora. Marketplace is the exact translation of agora, and that eximious logorrheic Greeks pestered their fellow-citizens on Athens agora shouldn't make us forget this first meaning.

It also reminds me of the market place of the South African Drums of Colours village, the liveliest and most fun part of the 2003 World Summit on Information society. With red feather dusters in lieu of jacaranda trees, statues of chickens and other animals and humans - and 2 containers: one for a live streaming radio broadcast of interviews with civil society actors, and the other one used as a cybercafe, entirely equipped with free software, working far better than the official and expensive Summit's WiFi.
What do you think are the most pressing issues/challenges in using technology to enhance the educational process?
Finding the correct way to disinhibit teachers in their use of tech. Tech for education has become simpler and simpler to use over the years, but teachers aren't always aware of this

Hi Claude,

With your work in Web 2.0 Technology, I recommend you take a look at Wiziq's virtual classroom and authorstream's power point presentation platform. Both are web based platforms, have a bunch of features and free basic service.
